Abstract
Additional to the steep angle DEKORP profile MVE (Münchberger Gneiss Complex-Vogtland-Erzgebirge) several wide angle measurements, including COF registrations to detect the Moho, three common shotpoint gathers with dense geophone spacing (50 m) and 100-120 km length along the MVE line and a refraction seismic profile perpendicular to the main line crossing the Granulit massif from south-east to north-west, were carried out. In this paper not only information about the structure of the subsurface under investigation is given but also the methods which yielded them are emphasized. This refers especially to the difficulties arising from the complicated wave pattern and to the possibility to detect and model steep dipping faults.
