Abstract
The development of Ground Based Augmentation System (GBAS) services plays an important part for the use of satellite navigation in maritime traffic. Particularly safety critical maritime applications in port vicinity demand the fulfilment of high accuracy and integrity requirements set out by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO, s. [8]). But especially these operations are often affected by GNSS disturbances like multipath and interference, and an insufficient GNSS availability resulting from the port environment. Hence the integration of upcoming GNSS Galileo signals into GBAS is a promising solution for the improvement of accuracy and integrity. This paper presents the development process of the current GPS carrier phase based maritime GBAS located in the research port Rostock towards a multi GNSS capable GBAS providing Galileo and GPS services and further focuses first results gained by the usage of simulated GPS and Galileo signals.
