Abstract: We have developped a new measurement system for the FG5/FG5X gravimeters which could also run in parallel with the original measurement system of the gravimeters. Further, a new method has been developped to analyze the laterral motion of the freely-falling body by using the position sensitive detector. These improvements allowed us to determine hidden errors of the original system due to distortion of the interferometric signal, impedance mismatch, electric dispersion, verticality misalignemnt and the Coriolis effect. Except technological improvements, the measurement model of FG5/FG5X gravimeters has been improved by more precise description of the demodulation of the interferometric signal and by the extension of the model by two parameters related to the newly discovered spatial parasitic wave caused by the dropping mechanism of FG5/FG5X gravimeters. All the improvements are having influence on the precion/stability and accuracy of absolute g-values. Based on the repeated absolute measurements during 5-years at the station Pecný that is equipped by a superconducting gravimeter, we are demonstrating how the errors non-standardly applied to absolute g-values, are affecting the measurement stability and the accuracy of determined calibration factors of the superconducting gravimeters.
