Abstract:
High accurate positioning in real-time gains importance for a large variety of applications, such as mobility and smart farming but also federal and civil services. This causes new challenges on real-time positioning services to handle an increasing number of users and providing positioning accuracies of a few centimeters consistently in a geodetic reference frame.
To face these demands, BKG is establishing a real-time positioning service with two components: One component is based on the Precise Point Positioning (PPP) technique and will provide corrections worldwide. The second component is a PPP-RTK (real time kinematic) service for Germany, implemented within a cooperation of BKG and the German Laender. Both components will provide GNSS corrections as a state space representation (SSR). This approach enables a unidirectional distribution of corrections and with it an increasing number of users.
In this work, the setup and configuration of both components will be shown. Possible distribution techniques, output formats, and user scenarios will be discussed.
