Abstract: The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is one of the most fire hazardous regions of Russia. In the context of climate change, the risks of intensive wildfires on its territory are significantly increasing. One of the most important factors affecting the occurrence of forest fires is a strong drying of the underlying surface of the Earth due to an increase in surface temperature. The determining risk factor for fire hazard, along with an increase in temperature, is a change in the moisture regime, in particular, due to a decrease in intense precipitation and an increase in the Nesterov fire hazard index, while the causes that directly cause fires can be both natural and anthropogenic origin. A new type of work aimed at solving the problem of the occurrence of fires was the experimental application of modern technology of precipitation enhancement in order to moisten vast territories and reduce the fire hazard class on them. The report presents the results of realization of experimental aviation operations to artificially increase atmospheric precipitation in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in order to moisten the territories to reduce the fire hazard class in the warm period of 2022.
