Abstract. It is the main purpose of this study to recover the Moho model MHUU22 including Moho depth and density contrast (MD and MDC) based on an optimal combination of five seismic and gravimetric-isostatic models of MD and three MDC by a weighted least-squares procedure at a resolution of 1°×1° over Scandinavia. For proper weighting among the data, the study starts with determining (mostly missing) standard errors and correlations among these models. The standard errors among the input models range from 0.6 to 2.8 km and 15 to 55 kg/m3 for MD and MDC, respectively. The correlations among the five MD models range between -0.99 and +0.90 and among the tree MDC models range between -0.99 and +0.94.The MDs and MDCs for MHUU22 vary between 13 to 56 km and between 150 to 550 kg/m3, respectively, with maximum values in Central Finland and Gulf of Bothnia, while the oceanic areas are generally within 20 km and 30 kg/m3.
