Zusammenfassung
Since the early 1990s, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) has been continuously involved in numerous projects for the analysis of observation data of various space geodetic techniques. A very important precondition for all these projects is our software package EPOS-OC (Earth Parameter and Orbit System), largely developed at GFZ and continuously updated to the present day. Currently, we are contributing with this software as an Analysis Center (AC) of the ILRS and as an associated AC of the IDS to the establishment of the International Terrestrial Reference Frame. Over the decades, a very good GNSS processing capability has also been realized, which has been an important basis for deriving static and time-variable Earth gravity field models based on CHAMP, GRACE, GRACE Follow-on, and GOCE mission data, including low-low satellite-to-satellite tracking or gravity gradiometry. Besides this real data analysis, we have been and continue to be involved in numerous simulation projects, e.g., to investigate the increase of spatial and temporal resolution that can be achieved from Next Generation Gravity Missions. Still existing limitations of the Global Geodetic Observing System have been analyzed, e.g., by examining the impact of terrestrial local and space ties, mainly by simulations. A recent further development was the inclusion of VLBI data which now allows parallel analysis of all four space geodetic tracking data, such as it will be realized in the future ESA satellite mission GENESIS. In this poster, we will present the most important features and capabilities of the EPOS-OC software.
