Abstract
We analyze detectability of microseismic events by surface array using simultaneously deployed downhole array. We show that the detectability of the perforation shots on surface array can be assessed by the observations of the signals on the downhole array. Furthermore, we show that microseismic events weaker than the two detected perforation shots were not detected by the surface monitoring array and we show that later and stronger events would be potentially detectable if the surface array was not dismantled. This analysis allows us to determine the parameters of the surface array needed to carry out microseismic monitoring in this area of Poland.
