Zusammenfassung
Gravity field products can be used to derive bathymetry. However, previous studies usually adopted gravity anomalies and vertical gravity gradients. Indeed, gravity gradient tensor has six components, all of which should contain bathymetric information. In this study, the formulas for deriving bathymetry using full tensor of gravity gradients are firstly derived, and then full tensors of gravity gradients in the study area are derived using satellite altimetry observations; Finally, the proposed algorithm is verified by numerical experiments. The results show that all the components can be used to derive bathymetry, but they have different performance in the inversion. The possible causes are analyzed correspondingly.
