Abstract:
From April to July 2022, a quasi seven days oscillation was observed in the precipitation at Campina Grande (7.2ºS, 35.9ºW). This oscillation contributed to an increase in the precipitation in 2022 at Campina Grande, which reached 1071 mm, the largest in the past 10 years. The present work characterized this oscillation in the meteorological parameters like, air temperature, precipitation and horizontal wind. Using a meteor radar deployed at São João do Cariri, (7.4ºS, 36.5ºW) this oscillation was investigated in the horizontal wind in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere. Finally, the total electron content estimated from GNSS receivers was used to determine the quasi seven-days oscillation as well. The results suggest an interesting coupling in the whole atmosphere over Campina Grande.
